Fridge Food Question -

Hi!

I am in the process of planning a 12/09 trip, and am going to be staying in the CB resort, which I was back and forth about but the fridge in the rooms sold me, cause I thought I could save $$ on food having a fridge and all. We will be flying down with no rental car, - I need to know if there is anywhere on site to purchase grocery items that isn't through the roof in price - b/c I'm sure trying to ship milk to my room to put in the fridge just wouldn't work that well. LOL. (Well not without the dry ice and that gets expensive.) Even if it IS through the roof in price, is there anywhere to purchase items like that, period? (perhaps a 1/2 gal of milk, juice, etc.?) I think I remember the AS resorts having a cold section in the gift shop but I don't remember what was in it.

Luckily for you, my family and I stayed at the CB Resort in August of '07, and yes, they sell juice, water, candy, crackers, and everything else like that in the gift shop.

Gardengrocer.com is probably cheaper than the on-site groceries. I think it's a $10 or $12 delivery fee (but don't quote me on that, I've just seen this place mentioned a lot around here).

Yes, garden grocer is cheaper. They have a $12? delivery fee and also a $40 minimum but we are planning to have breakfast in our room each day along with snacks and water and so getting to $40 will not be a problem. Should save us money in the long run.

we stocked our room fridge w/ food - and didn't eat any of it because we were never in our room......
