Fridge at Swan - Worth It??

Is paying for a fridge at the Swan ($12/day + tax) really worth it? It will just be my husband and I and we would probably just use it for bottled water, diet coke, and beer (he's really picky about beer - a bit of a beer snob if you ask me!).

Suggestions anyone?

It is very easy to empty out the minibar fridge they have in the room. Put a note telling where you put the items so you don't get charged for them *drinks are in the top drawer*. You can then put your items in the fridge.

Have a wonderful time!

I think it's been suggested that if you reserve in advance, you get charged, but if you request on arrival, it's free? Perhaps someone can confirm or correct.

Last stay at WL we requested on arrival for some medicine. I don't know if we weren't charged b/c it was for medicine or if it was because we didn't request it in advance. (BTW, and FWIW, we didn't request in advance because we assumed the bottle would be small enough for the minibar and it wasn't.)

PS. I don't know if this is one of those "Swan/Dolphin" exceptions.

I thought the Swan and Dolphin used to charge a refrigerator emptying fee? Like $25.00 or something to that effect.
