Friday the 13th!! Are you bothered?!

..... it has only just occurred to me why they were having a conversation about superstition on the radio this morning!!

........ duh, well! I've only just had to write the date so then I realised

I don't have a problem with Friday 13th - do you?

I had my 13th birthday on Friday the 13th.

I did have a friend once who always stayed in bed all day on Friday the 13th!

I did a shift in A+E (ex-nurse) one year on a Friday the 13th and it was literally like a scene out of the tv show Casualty, there were people on trolleys in corridors as there were so many of them, numerous RTAs, far more minor accidents than we'd ever normally have on a Friday evening. I have to be honest though, I really think that people go around expecting things to go wrong - so they do, not that the date brings bad luck.

It's certainly not put anyone off of going shopping in my local centre this morning, now those crowds in the Fathers' days section of Clintons really are bad luck!

Hope I wasn't one . . . DH was about to take me away for a lovely romantic Valentine's weekend in 1998 when I fell down the stairs and mangled my ankle Spent over a week in hospital and now have a leg with a full set of meccano in it Never did get my romantic weekend away (think he's been too scared to organise anything since then ).

And then today had to go to hoppital for a scan - but all OK, phew what a relief.

I am quite a superstitious person and will NEVER pick up a knife I've dropped, I throw salt over my left shoulder if I ever drop a grain, never put new shoes on the table - but actually I don't bother about walking under ladders

My gran always used to say 13 was her lucky number as noone else wanted it!!
I hope its not an unlucky day, DD is taking some important Law exams today!
