Friday night pin meets

I can't tell you guys how great the Friday night pin meet has been at the Contemporary. I have been wanting to share with you all the excellent trades I have been able to make. But I just have not been able to find the time. so here I am at 1 in the morning MAKING time to tell you all about just one of the Friday nights. We had over 100 people two Fridays in a row.

Some of the trades I made didn't excite me too much, but rather than saying "Nah you don't have anything I need, I traded with people because I had something they needed. So here goes. a rack pin Gipetto, an LE 5000 Zorro, LE 5100 2000 EPCOT food and wine, tinkerbell looking at herself in a mirror, mistake rack pin rafiki, rack pin Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, Disneyland Paris, Disneyland everybody neat and pretty and WDW howdy Y'all all from the map event ain AugustLE 5000 M&M Bride and Groom from 2000, the virtual pin 100 years of magic, a puzzle piece from DL "Disney's" LE 5000 The Innovator, LE 1500 Contemporary logo, Sorcerer's Hat Grand Opening October 2001 LE3500two GWP map pins bunny and squirrel, LE3000 2001 Flower & Garden stain glass pin, The last two were really cool a WWTBAM Play it Grand Opening CM pin and drum roll please ............. a FAST PASS CM pin, finally. Anyone else have fun at a Friday night pin meet?

Sounds like everyone is having a great time though. Hopefully I will get there on Nov 30.

We recently attended a Friday night meet at the Contemporary and had the greatest time!! We felt like we did when we first started trading as this is what pin trading is meant to be (in it's BEST form). There were traders of ALL levels from those who had just started that very day to others with multiple books of traders. ALL were friendly and kind. We made some wonderful trades, but I am pleased to have met a few new friends (one I met actually grew up in the same neighborhood as I did in Maryland ...Kath, please tell Audrey that Suzi from Randallstown says "hi"!)

I ca wholeheartedly recommend the Friday night meets to ANYONE who enjoys pin trading or to anyone who would enjoy watching it for that matter!!

When you called up and told Parkhopper to come down and that the food was ready, I did relay the message, but he just said "yea yea" and kept right on trading.

I thought you might want to know.

My DH & I hope to be at the Contemporary on November 9 for the pin meet. Are these meets extending to Saturday, too. If so we could be there on Nov 3 & 17th.
I am looking forward to putting faces to go with the names of people on this board. I did meet Pintrader last April during the egg hunt and a few others as well.

Hello All!

My friends from NY Catherine and Arthur had a great time this last friday. I as always talked more than I traded, but was able to get my Fastpast pin. I had long given up on it, and how nice to finally get it. Thank you who ever you are.

If anyone noticed even my husband was there. We bribed him with the promise of Beer. But I think he had a good time. Although he will never admit it.

Okay Karen I know you were a sixties child (Vegetable rights and peace sister), and I know you went to Woodstock. Granted you named kid Neon that was way cool. But what the heck is a fastpast pin or did we have way too much fun at Woodstock.

Hey remember me I was the guy on stage with Hendrix's.

I'm kidding Karen is a sweet lady, and so is Neon,(No caballeros Neon is not a lady, you know what I mean) even if her friends didn't talk or move for that matter, hey maybe they were scared, I was at my first pin meet.

And I know she meant fastpaste pin. Heard it was a sticky trade, but congratulations.

We did not sign up for the May pin cruise. Our 25th Wedding Anniversary is May 28th 2002 and we are hoping to use Marriott Rewards and FF Mileage to get to Hawaii...Wish us luck.
We will see you in November. Milton is still looking for the Angry Donald Mystery Pin from last year. It is still his holy grail.

I'll be there on the November 2nd meet! I am really excited and I cant wait! I'm making a 2 day trip. Its kinda short but I am still excited. I'm new to pin trading and hoping that everyone there will be extra nice to the new one to the addiction... I also hope to get a lot of tips from everyone to help me learn all about it.
