Friday day trip for kids during Halloween time?

Planning a trip to universal studio Hollywood on Oct 16 Friday. Our kids are 10 and 8. We plan on getting out of the park before 5pm as Halloween horror stuff scares them.

If we are out of dodge by 5pm will there much collateral horror items around the park that will scare kids. A poster won't scare them but a character actor from the purge or the Walking dead going up to them may scare them.

Is a Friday trip during the day a bad idea for kids?

It is a hard ticket item so you won't see anything at all unless you buy a ticket to Halloween horror nights

I won't be buying any HHN tickets unless I want to spend $$$ on years of therapy for the kids .

I just wondering about any residual horror around the park. Posters won't bother them. A zombie walking by them might.
