Friday Check-In... Does it still get backed up?

Long ago (last time we visited the Fort), check-in was slow on Fridays because of all the arrivals. Is this still the case, and what time does it start getting busy?

I'm sure it really depends on the time of day. I've only arrived on Friday once, at 4:30am, and nope there wasn't anykind of a line at check in.

The Friday before Memorial Day, (even with the heavy rain), there were at least 30 campers at checkin and it took us over an hour!!

We arrived in line about 1:15pm

I am surprised at that hour there were not any others? (Note To Self: check in during the wee hours of the morning.)

We actually had to park in the check-in line and go inside. The kiosks outside were not manned (or womanned) at that time of the morning. I think they're may have been 1 other person there.
