We are booked at the BCV 6 Mar - 11 Mar and wanted to throw in a couple extra days in front of those. We already got our airline bought and are flying in On Friday the 4th. Where should we stay? On one hand I want to go cheap and stay at All Star but then again I think about maybe I should just go all out and stay at the best because I'm only there for 2 nights. I may never be in this position again.
What should I do or what would you do in my position?
We are a family of four...DS is 4 and DD is 6.
Thanks

Ken

If you can get the All Stars, go for it. The first 2 days there, you'll probably be on the go and won't be at the resort enough to justify the much higher price. Your kids will really enjoy the All Stars. Just let them know ahead of time you're only going to be there for 2 nights so they're not extremely disappointed when you check out. Use all the money you save to throw in a few extra treats. Just my 2 cents.

Stay at a monorail resort if you can afford it since you will be in the Epcot/MGM area for the rest of the trip. If you need to stay at a value resort, go for Pop Century. I'd call soon. It sounds like they are filling up quickly for March.

I would vote for a monorail resort also. It is fun just to ride. We just returned form the CR and although the theming is not great we enjoyed the bigger room, the monorail, huge arcade, pool is ok (slide) nice little beach area. We watched the fireworks at the magic kingdom from right outside our room, we had a garden room with a view of the lake and got to see the water parade from our room. Not an overly thrilling parade but 6 and 4 year old would definetly like it (if they can stay awake till 10:00). You can take a boat ride to WL or Fort Wilderness. I would not recommend the Concourse steakhouse restaurant that is there but have heard good things about the character meal at Chef Mickeys. We stayed at Pop Century (we are not hotel snobs) and will not go back. The bed is very small and we literally could feel every spring. We also felt like we were contantly battling the crowds there. PO is also great for the kids because it has such a good pool area (both FQ and riverside) Have a great trip! :D

Thanks...is there any way to get a discount for CR or GF?
Which should I choose if I did?

I have not stayed at the GF although I'm sure most people would vote for that hotel. It is a beautiful hotel. We also had a lot of fun renting the water mice (2 man boats). You can rent them from either hotel (and several other places) and then zip around the 7 seas lagoon. Our kids (9 and 7) loved it! We were able to get a Florida resident discount at the CR and paid 155/night for the garden room. There are plenty of people on these boards that would be better able to help you with the discount question. You may want to start a new thread. Hope this helps. :D
