freshman fears

lol just tell them to not bother anybody and no one will bother them... the only freshmen that i only ever had a problem with were the ones that were really loud... and the ones that acted like theyre the toughest people around haha... those were the ones that usually got picked on on my school.. no one really bothered the freshmen that kept to themselves

::yes::
When I was a fresman, I noticed nobody got picked on unless they asked for it, by doing something outrageously stupid. The new freshmen coming in this year are going to be worse than last year, and I'm looking foward to it  And the year after them I heard was REALLY bad.

But if you don't bother the upperclassmen, you're pretty much good. :D

Yeah, freshmen who get picked on here are absolute idiots.
They're usually a guy, and a white guy who thinks he's from the ghetto and goes to 'gang' fights at lunch.
They mouth off too much where they shouldn't.

I'M A SENIOR!!! w00t!!!

anyway. I didn't have any fears going into my freshman year. I have a really good sense of direction, so I never had to worry about getting lost- I had the floor plan memorized after the first two days. I made plenty of friends in that first week, despite moving in from the other side of the state.

I'm a freshman this year, but I don't have any fears, because, well, I'm homeschooled and I have no reason to be scared....lol

Thanks guy so much. :cool1:
Beside the whole tour things being really really unorganized, it went pretty well.

The tour I went to-I'm a freshman-was really unorganized, too. We went in one hallway and we almost got ran over by rolling chairs! Other students were rolling themselves down the hallways and the other seniors allowed it.

Here some of my fears as a new freshman just to help you out

What I'm Not too afraid

1. Getting lost
2. Lockers
3. Being picked on since I'm a freshman

What I am afraid of:

1. Keeping up with all the homework
2. Having every grade count toward college

Thats really it.

this is BS.
and any teacher who tells you its not is a liar.

honestly, all that shows up on your big scary permanent record is your transcript. all that shows up on your transcript is your sem grades. if you make a zero on a homework assignment in the ninth grade in english, the dean of harvard won't have a heart attack, i promise.

i hate it when teachers scare kids about that.

ITA.
Teachers do that too often. All that happens when you have a zero is it brings your grade down, depending on how much it's worth, and I mean if you or your parents personally care what your grade is, yeah it'd suck. But I mean really, that only happens in year long courses, because it's cumulative and it's hard to keep a good grade sometimes..

Anyways, grade 9 and 10 don't count here. Not a bit. Grade 10 only counts on your grade 11 required course you take in the last semester.
Things only really start mattering when you're picking stuff that you need to do what you want in college.

im terrified of my spanish class, because i heard that the teacher sucks, and that straight A honor students get Cs and Ds.

the only grades that count are your final grades for the quarter (the ones that pop up in your report card)... they go towards your gpa... and colleges dont care about each and every grade you get.. they just look at your gpa (average of all of your grades) ... sooo dont worry if you get some C's... cause you can balance that out by doing really well in other classes
