Agree with others. a place to go for treats-not your regular shopping-because its pricey.

I like the gourmet breads, muffins, cookies, cheeses. Specialty pastas, rotiseerie chicken salad and Waldorf chicken salad

:hippie:

I love, love, love Fresh Market. It is like a grocery spa. Their coffee is really great, and their food bar is wonderful. I keep their pimento cheese in the fridge and stock up on their breads when I can. Just keep telling yourself that you get what you pay for.

we have a Fresh Market opening here soon too...anyone know anything about working there? I was thinking about applying.

I worked part-time in the Produce dept. The Fresh Market company is an excellent company to work for (imo). The pay was not great but you do get increases yearly and bonuses. They also offer health benefits at a cost....

thanks...I will fill out an application once they start accepting them. I think the store here is set to open early 2010.

We have a Fresh Market opening near us tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone shops there. It seems to be on the order of a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Any experiences to share? Products they carry that are great? How are the prices?

We have one locally, and I love it! But as other posters said, it's not an every-week stop. I frequently get stuffed chicken breasts and/or specialty desserts for nice dinners at home. They always have a great produce selection, and I have found great specials a few times. Their deli section in the middle of the store has reasonably-priced ready to eat foods, and I occasionally pick up a sandwich or hot plate for lunch.

And they have terrific holiday foods selection, that I have used to make personalized gift baskets.

... It is like a grocery spa... .
:rotfl: I totally agree!! Actually, the first time I went to Trader Joe's, I called it a low-end Fresh Market... great specialty foods at low prices.
