Help me please - I've read the threads about bringing your own coffee, etc. , however we would like to find places with FRESH GROUND espresso ONLY - no syrup, brewed, mixes, etc.

Here's some I either know of or have heard 'maybes' about:

1) Fountainview Bakery in Epcot

2) Starring Rolls Bakery in MGM (at least I'm pretty sure but it was 3 years ago)

3) The Writer's Stop in MGM ???? I only read about this one, can anyone confirm?

4) Fourty Thirst Street at DTD (is this still there?)

5) ??? Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at AK ???

6) MK - Is there ANY in this park??

We are staying at POFQ and want our cappucinos/mochas/lattes every morning. I can find some places in some of the parks but what about the days we spend in MK? - HELP!

40 Thirst stree has been reduced to a little 'cart' outside the pretzle place...but as of January - still there.

in MK - try Sleepy Hollow...I know I've gotten a cappucciono there before.

:)

stinkerbelle,

Thanks for the reply. :)

Was the cappucino from Sleepy Hollow really and truly from ground espresso? If so, I will be sure to go there!

I got a coffee mocha from one of the carts outside the castle once and literally could not drink it - neither could my sister - it was SOOOO bad! I'm pretty sure it was that nasty Nestle syrup stuff. We didn't know they used that until we bought one. We ended up throwing it away. I hate wasting money.

Anyone else have any info. from the parks?

Theres a restaurant in Morrocco in Epcot that serves fresh espresso. Can't recall name of it, but you can't miss it. Its cafeteria style so you can walk in and grab a quick espresso without having to do the whole sit-down thing.

That fast food place in Morocco is called Tangerine Cafe. Great place.

At the BW, Boardwalk Joe's has espresso, cappuccino, latte avd pretty good brewed coffee. It's a large cart near the center of the BW.

Here's a (dreaded) story problem like when we were in school:

If we leave POFQ in the am heading to a park, how easy is it to stop at DTD or Boardwalk to pick up an espresso on the way? And how long will it take us? (slower season, Nov. and most likely not first thing in the AM)

Is it easy to park at both places and do a quick coffee run? Maybe if one person stayed with the car and the other went and fetched? (We will have AP's for whatever parking that allows us.)

We will have a car but don't want to take a chunk of time out of our schedule (like over 30 minutes would be a bit much) just for good coffee.

Thanks again!

Rhonna,
The coffee stop at the BW doesn't open until later in the day, not sure about DTD. But if you want a great cup of coffee on the way to the parks you can park right in front of the Poly. Walk or take elevator to the 2nd floor of The Great Ceremonial House and get a cup of Kona. There is a coffee / dessert stand right near the exit for the monorail.

If you really want to do it right, the Kona Cafe has a press pot of 100% Knoa coffee. I drink Kona, Jamacia Blue Mountain, etc., this is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. After the trip I bought a press pot.

I appreicate your problem - we are also "good" coffee addicts and find most of the disney stuff undrinkable.

Rainforest cafe has good coffee - not sure about expresso.

You can also get pressed pot coffee at Boma at AKL. It was fabulous! - maybe it is also served at Mara - their quick service restaurant.

Finally- I believe I read somewhere that the Hilton at DTD has a Starbucks inside - not "they serve starbucks coffee" but a real shop. Anybody else hear about that?

Steve: Do you know when the DTD coffee cart opens?

Steve (again): Yes, I guess we could stop at the Poly but aren't sure how quick/easy that would be? I guess since it's right near the TTC it might be workable. Would security at the Poly slow us down when we are just trying to get a coffee on the run, not park there?

We are doing the two resort thing. First week POFQ and second week the Poly. Once we switch over to the Poly we won't have a problem. It's that first week at POFQ...muttering and whining...

It seems MK park is the absolute worst for finding any decent espresso drinks.

I also read about the Starbuck's inside the Hilton.

I just don't know from POFQ going to the MK which would be the easiest and quickest :

1) Hilton hotel Starbuck's (never been there)

2) DTD (it been awhile since we went to DTD)

3) Poly coffee stand (I've been there)

In the other parks I can scrounge up something halfway decent.

We enjoyed the coffee at AKL also but it's a bit out of the way to go over there in the am just for a coffee run, plus we want something "to go" not french press.

Thanks everyone!

Rhonna
