Fresh Fruit in the Parks

When we were in Disneyland this past June one of the things I noticed was the carts that had fresh fruit available. They seemed to be all over both parks.

I am wondering have I just not noticed this at the parks in Florida? I would love to hear from people who have been recently because I need to figure out if I need to take some healthy snacks with me or if I can count on finding fresh fruit in the four parks.

If I had to answer I would say no...please let me know what your experience has been lately.

I can definetly say that there is fresh fruit in MK and DHS. The Liberty Square Market is a larger "cart" type stand with fresh fruit, chips, sodas, and other snacks. It is located right next to the Hall of Presidents. In DHS I remember there being fruit in the Rosie's All American Cafe area on Sunset Boulevard. UG says there is a fruit stand in all four parks, but I know of these 2 for sure.

Thank you so much! I don't go to the parks with the idea that I am dieting but I do try to eat healthy and allow myself treats here and there. So I try to keep my snacks healthy so I can have treats at meals. The past three years I have taken granola bars, etc. and with the new baggage guidelines I would like to cut down on the food I take with me!

We were able to get my daughter fresh fruit in all the parks. They often have packaged whole apples, oranges and grape portions right in the ice at the snack carts.

After playing in the splash fountains at Epcot I offered her an ice cream or a drink. She accompanied me to the cart a happily chose an apple. They were individually wrapped, cold and delicious. (She does not get her healthy choice gene from me!! :rotfl: )

The fruit is expensive but widely available which is great to see. Animal kingdom has a whole fruit cart near the safari ride with loads of choices.

We have had fruit from all 4 of the parks - bit overpriced but thats Disney :rotfl:

I love the apple slices with caramel - that's a good snack to share and not eat something quite as unhealthy. I've easily found fruit and veggie snacks in carts around WDW :) You can use snack credits on them from the dining plan too (or you could last time we were there).

See I never thought of that! I NEVER use my snack credits and DH and DD often don't get around to using all of mine. So I will just use my snack credits for fruit. That is one more less thing I have to pack.
Figured out the breakfast thing and the snack thing now! I usually take Weight Watcher muffins for breakfast but those don't really hold you over. After reviewing the quick service menu at the Poly I decided the kids breakfast is the healtiest option. I can have that for a low amount of points and with all that protein stay satisfied for the day.
