Do you belong to a frequent flier forum? Looking for a good one.

Also do you use a rewards program tracker? Looking for a way to keep track of all points earned in one place.

We are going to CA in May. We have enough miles for 1 free ticket. But I need to work on seeing if I can come up with a 2nd ticket if possible. I thought consolidating might help.

definitely ask at Flyertalk because they will know, but IIRC, there is no way to "consolidate" miles/points (without $).

One thing you could try is to earn the amount of miles you need by things other than flying, or do a selected "mileage run" plane trip to earn the needed amount. For example, you can earn 25,000 miles for opening up a Citibank AA credit card, which is enough miles for a ticket on AA. Or, on occasion they offer special mileage bonuses for taking a particular flight. Go to flyertalk (or the website of your preferred airline) and start looking for their offers/deals.

:thumbsup2 good info. thanks.

Flyertalk is like disboard for frequent fliers. Those people know so much!

Interestingly enough, you'll spot some familiar names there too. Like SafetyMom.

I also frequent flyertalk.

One thing about awards - you think you have enough miles for 1 free ticket. In reality, it can be very difficult to find availability for the base award. You may want to check availability before you look at adding miles. For example, I am looking at a trip to CA in late April. The only awards available on USAir are for 50,000 miles.

Good to know. :thumbsup2 We are pretty flexible for days to fly so hopefully it will help.
