"French Toast" at CRT

I'm one of many who loves the "French Toast" at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast.

Of course, the French Toast isn't French Toast as we usually know it. (Neither is it "Freedom Toast"!) It's almost more of a blintz.

Anyway, I'm wondering if that same food item is available anywhere else at WDW. Obviously it's really hard to get into CRT, and it almost seems like "cheating" to have breakfast in the castle just for the food.

Lots of other places have something on their menu called French Toast, but it's usually the regular French Toast we're all used to, not this heavenly dish from CRT.

Any ideas? (I'd even be willing to have it for lunch in the castle if it were available.)

I love that french toast too... it is a cheese danish that is quartered, dipped in egg and fried.. yumm.

I don't know where else to find it - but I did recently read a trip report where there was a pan of cheese blintzes at the Cape May character breakfast.

She described them as rolled crepes filled with a sweet cottage cheese served with a warm fruit topping - wow - this alone made me want to go to Cape May for breakfast!

Have not yet found those cheesy freedom toast in any of the restaurants except CRT!

Isn't Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe the same thing with a different filling?

You can have the Cheese French Toast from CRT right in your very own home (ok, I know it's not quite the same as having it served to you in a PALACE, but it's the same french toast....) Here's a link to the recipe....
