French Quarter

Has anyone heard anything about the opening date of PO French Quarter? It is one of our favorites!

I'm also very curious. We'd like to stay at the French Quarter sometime, and our July trip would be a perfect time to experience it!

I'm curious as well. That's the one moderate that appeals to me the most and I'd really like to stay there sometime...I'd seriously consider it for our trip in July as well if it was open.

My parents were on a bus to Port Orleans Riverside. They were confused by the whole Riverside part of things. The bus driver told them that the French Quarter is closed indefinitely until business picks up again. From the crowds we experienced, I'd say it's picking up.

When I stayed at the POR in September, the boat captain had indicated that they expected the rehab to be completed by early summer late spring.
When they closed the resort last year it was indicated that both POFQ and POR would be rehabbed and that the entire process would take 2 years. Hopefully that means one year for POFQ and one year for POR.
After 9/11 the resort was closed due to low attendance at WDW, then it reopened in 2002. The resort is not closed now because of low attendance, but due to the rehab.

I couple of weeks ago there was another thread about this topic.

A couple of people had spoke to CRO CMs who said they were expecting the resort to open sometime in May. Others said the CMs said it wouldn't be open til fall.

So basically we have no idea.

But add me to the list of hopefulls!
