French quarter first time

Going in two weeks staying at French Quarter first time.. pool view.. what are best buildings and room requests so I will be close to lobby . Also any tips or good info about the resort? Thank you!

POFQ pool view rooms are very limited. Basically buildings 2 and 5, middle section facing the pool. Distance to the lobby is pretty much the same. If you want to make a request, maybe one for what floor you want. I do not see much sense in making a building, close to lobby request for such a limited room category.

I loved my stays at POFQ, the small scaleof the resort meant nothing was far away.

Yeah, if you are pool view, that is close to the lobby. I would just request whether you want first floor or top floor.

Honestly that resort is so small everything is close to the lobby, and with pool view, they're definitely close to the lobby.

I wouldn't worry about requesting a specific building, as others have said, this resort is so small that you will be close to the lobby with any room with a pool view. Even the outlying buildings are a short walk to the lobby.

So my memory is fuzzy about this.....

I believe the elevator is only on one side of the building. I stayed in BLDG 2 and the elevator was on the end by the river. My room was on the farther end near the food court (if you will). I did not want to do stairs so I really don't know where the stairs were. Everything is relative but it did "bug" me to walk all the way to the river and then all the way down the floor to my room.

As far as tips....beignets! take a tour of riverside ... it's pretty. If the horse and buggy rides are running again...that was fun. If the boats to Disney Springs are running that was also enjoyable.
