Years ago, Epcot used to have a Baymax M&G. It was probably a precursor to the Halloween costume technology that brought us the inflatable T-rexes for kids LOL. Maybe they will bring him to DCA.
I think I can be categorized as cynical, b/c honestly for both of these things (French Market conversion and San Fransokyo) - I'm guessing it's far less exciting than anyone is thinking. Some updated paint or graphics, slight menu alterations or naming of dishes that otherwise remain the same. The parks blog article said "In fact, the film designers took inspiration from the exterior of the original French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square when designing Tiana’s Palace for the movie"... which reads almost like they are giving themselves an opening to do minimal updates b/c oh hey - French Market was ALREADY the inspiration for the movie restaurant.
