On another forum I saw that House Party only accepted applications for this party for applicants that choose the "I spend over $250 on my parties" option. They are holding people to their answers.

Hopefully you can find some less expensive wine and cheese by shopping locally. I know I wouldn't have been too happy with a 15% off coupon either.

Has anyone else received an email stating they were receiving another package? I got another email saying I would receive a package by May 13th. I was extremely disappointed by the first package received. Hope this one is better

I got in the French house party and it seems that there are quite a few unhappy folks who have posted to the houseparty blog. I guess in the original posting it said something about getting cheese/wine but no such luck in reality. I guess the restrictions on sending wine to some states makes it difficult. Not sure about the cheese though. My understanding is that 1,000 people were chosen. That would make it quite expensive for $85 cheese boards to everyone.

It will be fun though. It's just a little cocktail party on a Thursday night. Now, if it was a full blown event on a Saturday it might be more costly. But it's more like a happy hour.
