Is it just me or do French Fries at the various counter service locations always seem different? A little bit is how they taste but not that much and the other thing I noticed is the size of them, because they are not one standard size at all the counter service locations.

Never noticed. Guess there are more important things in Disney than comparing French fries. :teeth:

Ask me about character meal food and I can tell you.

I noticed this at DL. I've talked about it to my family, and they think I'm crazy.

I tested this theory myself on my last trip.

I was staying at OKW. So, I picked up some fries from Good's To Go. Then, drove over to the Contemporary. After a dip in the pool, I picked up some fries there too. After that walked over to the Magic Kingdom and got some fries there too. Grabbed a spot to enjoy my fries and waited for Spectromagic and Wishes.

Oh, they all seemed the same to me.

I really am not there for the fries. So even if I did notice, I really wouldn't care.

Seems that there is something more going on here than what the OP asked. So, in saying that, I am going to ask that we keep the posts on topic....which is French fries at counter service locations and not bring in other subjects which we know are very touchy ones. The restaurant board moderators ask that you respect the Dis Guidelines when posting and that you keep your posting to the subject at hand.

Thanks.

Disney is standardizing menus and food ordering. I'd be shocked if they order more then one kind of french fries. It suspect it's you but some locations may add more salt or serve fries that have sitting around for too long.

There are 2 kinds of fries. There are McDonalds fries, and non-McDonalds fries. The McD's ones are thinner and served in cup-like containers, the others are thicker and served in flatter containers... I guess so chili and cheese etc can be put on them.

For example, Casey's has the McD's fries, while Pinocchio's has the thicker ones (so they can make Figaro fries without the things falling apart!

We were at Epcot and MK this weekend, and we noticed a difference of the fries between the two parks.

Epcot had fries that were medium size and had skin on them,

MK had larger fries (That were almost steak fry size) without skin on them.

We gave the edge to Epcot.

We did however ask the CM at Columbia Harbor House why they were different, and she said they are trying out different styles to find which ones are best in the the new Non-Trans-Fat oil.
