Has anyone ever tried to do their own frozen veggies that you can flavor and then steam. I was thinking this would be great for personal size packages when veggies are on sale. Any ideas?

I think you need to blanch them (cook in boiling water for a minute or two then cook quickly under cold running water) and dry them well before freezing open on trays then packaging.

Too much faff for me! If I have spare veggies I make soup and freeze that:thumbsup2 but my neighbour used to do it when I was young. She was mad about gardening and always had loads of veg, which she used to pickle until freezers came to us in the mid-70s.
