Stupid question: How do you know what leftovers freeze well?

Sometimes I have a little soup or casserole left (we usually eat some the next day) but still have enough for 1 or 2 servings. After 3 days it gets thrown out.
Some have beans, noodles (like spaghetti) or chicken and rice, does any of that freeze well? How long will it keep in the freezer?

TIA

I freeze leftovers all the time in single serving pyrex containers. I use the crockpot a lot and make things so I always have leftovers. DH then takes leftovers for lunch. Sometimes it will be in the freezer for a few weeks before he takes a particular meal (depends on his mood). He puts them in the fridge the night before and they reheat just fine.

We freeze everything. Just threw left over pizza and garlic bread into the freezer. I have found that baked beans don't seem to freeze real well. And soups and stews with potatoes don't work well. Those are the only things I've had less success with. Try freezing a little right after dinner. Then defrost in a few days and you'll know if it will work. Good luck.

We freeze everything - I do it in quart size ziplock freezer bags, then I put all like meals in a gallon ziplock bag & write on the outside with a sharpie.

The only thing I found doesn't freeze well is pasta, but it might just be a personal opinion with the taste/texture when re-heated. Other than that I can't think of a thing I haven't frozen! I usually toss anything that's still left after 6 months.
