Since the freezers that are in the fridges in the resorts are so small, how do you keep ice packs frozen to keep baby formula cold at the parks? We have a long time until our next trip but it will be the first with a baby (prob 10 months old) is the freezer big enough to freeze 2 ice packs? I guess I could always use ready to go formula huh? Can you tell my current baby is 6 years old and I havent done this in a while???

The last fridge we had didn't even have a freezer compartment so that could be an issue for you. You could use ice from the ice machine in zip locks I guess.

When my dd's were babies we used powder and room temp water and mixed as needed. Since they liked the formula room temp we had no warming or cooling issues this way.

you sound like me...I just had a baby a few months ago and my next oldest is 7. To top it off we are going to disney this year too with her; so I have a ton of question that I need to search for....lol...everything from her being able to swim in the pools...to...getting a fridge for her bottles.

my DD will be 10 months old when we go to disney in April and I just plan to bring the powdered formula and mix with water when she needs a bottle that way there is no need to find a way to keep it cold.

I have made my own icepacks when i have forgotten to bring them along. I don't know if it will help. I use a small ziplock bag and fill it with ice. I then put it in a larger ziplock bag with whatever it is I am trying to keep cool. I then put it in a small soft cooler or backpack. When the ice melts, I empty it.
But when my children were babies, I did like everyone else and mixed the powder with room temp water. It worked fine.
If you want to give the baby cold water, you can purchase cold water from one of the vendor's and mix it with the powder.

Also if you bring Ziplock bags and you put ice in them and the ice melts and you still need to keep things cool.... you can go to basiclly and stand and ask for a some ice or cup of ice and I'm sure they would help you out. I've heard of many people ask for ice. This is my plans when the ice melts for my daughters bottle. In September she will need a nice cool refreshment to help beat the heat.

Hope this helps you
