Freeze Mac and Cheese?

Can someone tell me how to freeze mac and cheese? My DD is on a Mac and Cheese kick and I seem to be making it once a week. Since I am trying to watch my weight, I don't want to make it every few days (and then eat it myself). I also want to make her her own version with whole milk instead of skim. How well will it freeze, for how long will it stay fresh, any special tricks for this process? My homemade mac and cheese has Kraft Deli Deluxe American, milk, and pasta.

It will freeze great! I am not sure how long you should freeze it for, but I would probably make a few weeks worth and free in small servings. I wouldnt make a ton, because in my world... as soon as I made alot, my DD "won't like it" anymore...lolol

I think it tends to get a little mushy freezing but that might be ok with your child. Maybe try to undercook the pasta a little bit???

Fiance's mother made some when she was down visiting. I put it in gallon size ziploc bags, rolled out flat. I just use a butter knife to chip off/break off what he wants then seal the bag back up. It has been a month and a half so far and he is not complaining.
