Freeway traffic Sunday morning?

We were THINKING of heading towards the coast to go visit the ocean for a bit before we left for AZ......Maybe go for some breakfast in Newport or something & then head off. Anyone know how bad the traffic can get? The last time we did that (5 yrs ago) it took us 45 min.

Not sure if anyone will know about Newport area or not.....but might you know if the Crab Cooker sells breakfast? Yummmmm.....

How bad is the traffic from San Diego to Anahiem on a Thursday afternoon/evening? Also how long do you think it would take to get from Sea World to Disneyland by car?

traffic shouldnt be too bad going up north on the 5 which is like a 5 lane highway, but accidents will cause it to backup and thats about it... Will take you between 2hr-2hr30min.

OP: Sunday traffic usually is pretty light. Mainly filled with slow drivers though.

We went to SD from Newport on a Saturday. So weekend traffic, BUT a bit closer than Anaheim. We were on the road a bit over 3 hours. No fun.

Sunday morning traffic is usually pretty light, it doesn't really start to pick up until after lunch when everyone is out of church or starting to head home from wherever they were on the weekend.
