Freestyle coke question

My family and I will be spending 3 days at universal and Ioa. I know the coke freestyle cups are only good for a day and you can purchase more days but I read somewhere that you can get the 99 cent refills with this cup. Is this true?

It is my understanding that there are two types of cups.. The freestyle cups and the souvenir cups with the 99cent refills. The souvenir cups you can use more then one day and get 99cent refills but the freestyle cups are only good at the freestyle machines and for one day only. Now, I don't have firsthand knowledge, this is just from what I've read.

We are going at the beginning of May and I was thinking the freestyle cups but well be there 3 days and I don't want to waste my money if we only get a couple refills the first day. I believe the Freestyle cups are only good for refills the day of purchase. The 99 cent refills do not apply to this particular cup...only the souvenir cup. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Sounds like the the one with the 99 cent refills would be a better deal of going more then one day

I read that they now fill the Freestyle cups for 99 cents. So if you want to do the Freestyle you can get that cup and then use it for the .99 refills as well.

I think I know what you're talking about. You get free refills for the day but .99 refills any other day...but not at the Freestyle machines. You'd have to go to any of the locations that fill the souvenir cups.

I would get the souvenir cup with the 99 cent refills. This is what out party did. It costs $1.06 with tax and you can even get refills at city walk, as well as both parks. Helped out a lot on the hot days. And of course, water refills are always free

Yea either one doesn't sound bad ill probably have to get two cups either way I do. One for the kiddos and one for me and the hubby. He's got a think about drinking after the kids lol (backwash)

That's what I was thinking why lug 4 cups around when I could lug 2 and they still serve the same purpose. My 4 year doesn't need her own cup and im not a big coke drinker so I don't see the need in me having a cup of my own. That would just be wasting money.

My boyfriend and I just bought one of the 99c refill cups between us and used it throughout our 2 week trip. We just shared it as the cups are huge and we didn't want to carry 2 about.

It saved so much money and was great that you could refill them on City Walk, too!

FYI you can use the same cup in both US and IOA

I agree, it is the cup that qualifies for the refill, not the person using it.

The Freestyle cups have free refills, which might be why that was said.

I read recently like you have previously said that the freestyle cups are only valid for the freestyle machines on the day of purchase but then they can be used as the 99c refills after that, I think it makes sense to do it this way cause you are basically getting a free day of drinks with some really strange choices then you can just carry on as normal after with the refills

We may bring our Freestyle cup in May and do the 99 cent refills if it's true you can do that now. We overdid it big time when we had the unlimited refills last time, lol! Really, it's nice to have a cup just to get free water from the Freestyle machines, and then we might get a few sodas for 99 cents with our meals.

There is a great review of the refillable drink cups and popcorn buckets at Universal Orlando at ***************(dot)com. It says, yes, you can use Coke Freestyle refillable cups for the 99 cents refills of regular fountain drinks.

Oh well, I guess being an Informer type site for an Orlando park doesn't pass through the Dis filters.
