Hello,
I tried to search to answer my question but the search is down.

I am looking into booking a 4 day and was curious about the Freeport option.

I have never heard of that, I just always thought the 4 day included the day at sea that you don't get with the 3 day.
Could someone explain this to me?

Does it alternate every week the way the Eastern and the Western does on the Magic?

We were thinking of booking for December of 2003 (really getting that early booking discount) and I wanted to make sure we have that wonderful day at sea!!

Thanks!

Freeport and day at sea alternate every other week. All 4 day cruise stops at Nassau.

Freeport was dropped for a few weeks, but I guess Disney renewed it's contract and therefore it is again stopping at Freeport.

As for the day at sea, posters on this board will tell you that you can treat the Freeport stop as a day at sea. When we were in Nassau we were ashore for the morning, in Atlantis, then came back for lunch. The ship was nice and quiet...

Hope this helps

That does help thank you!

I was talking to my TA and mentioned it and she had never heard
of it, she was going to look into it...weird

When I went on Disney.com and got a quote it didn't even specify which weeks were sea and which were freeport.

Actually, the specification is there. It's just very subtle. The dates of the cruises that visit Freeport are listed in red type. The cruises with a day at sea are listed in black type.

Dave,
I went back and re-checked the Disney site, all of the dates in December 2003 were in black, am I to assume that they are all the 4 day with the day at sea?

Thanks,
Stacey

P.S You should be a TA, you know more then mine!!!

Hmmmm.....

it appears that DCL has only renewed their Freeport contract through May 2003. But they may renew it again and convert some of these future dates into Freeport cruises. Assuming that they continue alternating each week, I'm guessing that December 14 and 28, 2003 might become Freeport cruises.

We are looking into booking the 7th through the 10th, so that may work out good.
I know we could use the freeport day as the day at sea, but we would really rather have a real day at sea.
I hope they don't change it after we have booked it, that would really irritate me....LOL
Thanks for all your help Dave!

...I too wanted the sea day and booked my cruise accordingly, however our week is one of the ones who now has a Freeport stop instead of a Sea Day :( Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine, but I was very upset when I first found out I had lost my sea day. My favorite cruises are the ones that are nothing but sea days! (Nowhere cruises). I am sure we will find something worth seeing in Freeport and then we will enjoy the ship with a few less people onboard.
