Freelance writing

I read a post the other day about someone who does some writing on the side to earn extra money for his/her trips to DL. I think he/she said you didn't have to be a professional writer (which I am NOT). I'm thinking about doing that just to have extra spending money, but I don't remember the website. Can someone please help. I'll be honest - I didn't search very long. I'm at my office and need to go and teach in 10 minutes. I'd appreciate any help you can give.

It was Mugglemama who posted about that. If you sign up with Associated Content now and post five things by September 30, they will give you an extra $10, but basically they pay you for every certain number of viewings by other readers, so you have to post a lot or post something very interesting to rack up the dough. You can post whatever you want, but they give you a list of suggestions for types of articles/blogs that they need. And you can see what other people have written to get a sense of what is out there. I DO write on the side so that sort of thing is perfect for me, but that doesn't mean that anything I write will be interesting to anyone else enough for me to get any $!!

I also read somewhere on the Associated Content site that someone was posting recipes and that is how they were making money. They do have quite an extensive recipe section. I have a ton of recipes and would love to post them to make a little cash on the side. If anyone knows anything about it - that would be helpful.

Mugglemama is currently enjoying her trip to DLR and I have not seen her on the boards.

Thanks everyone! I will look into it when a I get a chance. (And maybe Mugglemama will be back to offer extra insight!) We have family coming to town this weekend, so I'm cleaning (supposed to be right now!) and will be busy with them. Early next week I should have down time and will check it out. I'll let you all know if I get more details.
