This is not a loaded question, as I'm undecided, but is our country founded on freedom for Americans as a nation, or freedom for humankind as a whole?

I believe it was founded on the grounds of freedom for Americans. Originally we were never to lay a foot on foreign soil for intervention. That's why were were late into WW1 and it took Pearl to get us into WW2.

I believe that it was originally founded on the grounds of Freedom for American's, now, however it is Freedom for everyone including those who do not believe as we believe & whatever it takes us to make them free is apparently worth the cost

I believe the founding fathers wanted a free America, one free of a sovereigns rule, but that wasnt a golbal society. As for the America of today i'll have to agree with the Monroe Doctrine.
