Can anyone tell me how deep the pools are? On DCL, the pools were soooo packed and they finally have lifeguards (but not on our last cruise ). Are they also very packed on Freedom OTS? By the way, we would be in the pool with our potty trained 3 year old and watch our daughter who swims well.

I can't find children's menus for room service, MDR's, and Cafe Promenade.

Does anyone have a sample menu of Jade Restaurant. Heard there is no surcharge and would TOTALLY consider this for an adult only dinner.

Has anyone had experience with in room babysitting? Would consider this if we go to Jade. TIA!

I was about to answer you wrong about Jade; turns out we always had dinner at the MDR, so I never saw it functioning AS Jade. Physically it's an extension of the Windjammer, so it's not a *restaurant* per se. At breakfast it IS just an extension. But it seems that at dinner (maybe lunch?) it's as someone on CC described it an asian buffet, and they have sushi (but not made to order, it seems).

Cafe Promenade is things like muffins and pastries and some sandwiches. Like the food case at Starbucks.

All DS got the whole trip was pasta with marinara from the kid's menu. I might have a menu around but I can't promise anything. I'll try to find it in the next two days.

Pools got too deep for me to stand (5'3") and were not packed in January. They were, however, very cold. I minded but my 9 year old did NOT. We have never been in a Disney Cruise pool and never plan to be, so I can't compare.

Thanks for the info. We shall see when the tone comes about the pool. My DD is like a fish and my DS will be 3 and potty trained but will most likely have him in the water play area.

My kids aren't adventurous eaters like DH and I. They tend to stick to Mac n cheese, chicken strips/nuggets, pizza, quesadillas.
