I just booked August 2015 Western Caribbean on Freedom of the Seas with my three kids. We really wanted to do a Disney cruise but the prices are coming out too high for us so we are now booked on RCCL.

Please tell me that my three kids will love it. They will be 11, 9 and 7.

We haven't been on the Freedom but we have cruised on the sister ship the Explorer. Our kids were 18, 15, 9 and 6 at the time and they LOVED it. The kids clubs were so much fun our youngest cried when he saw us come to pick him up :lmao: The older kids liked there was so much to do (ice skating, rock wall, pool slide, putt putt, inline skating etc)

Are there ages for those things and a price for them? I'm a little confused as to what is extra!

They mentioned "ice skating, rock wall, pool slide, putt putt, inline skating etc".

There's no inline skating on Freedom that I know of, but for everything else in that list there is no charge on Freedom. The ice skating was great fun!

I'm not sure about the ages, but by the time you cruise the youngest will be 7 so more will be open to him/her than it would be now. I think there's info on the website about the rock wall and ages or it might be size-based? There were 2 year olds skating, I think anyone can do the mini golf, and there would be ages for the pool slide area.

I'm slowly working on a trip report for our recent Freedom cruise, and there will be pictures of the water play area, etc, so if you want to peek in every so often to see how far I've gotten, you're more than welcome! It's just here in the RCCL section. And it's possible, if I remember, that I can remind myself of the policies for ages etc for rock wall, etc.

I am so glad to be reading this.... We have sail with Disney for the last 2 years but we booked on RCC this time to save $$$, which I think, I only save on the airline tickets. But I just want to have as much fun as on Disney and to have as good service as the one we have gotten!! Disney is awesome but I would give RCC a try.....

They will love it! You will probably have to force them to spend time with you because they will be having so much fun with all the other kids and at the kids club!
