OK, I'm having a REALLY BAD DAY! Among MANY other thinks going wrong this week, my Aunt (who was only 42) died last night of an apparant stroke. I am sitting here alone, carless with the TV on preschool shows to keep little ones happy while Mommy is crying, and a husband who can't talk on the phone or come home until 7 tonight and I just want to hear someone (adult) who is having a good day. Please. If you had great freebies yesterday, if you got a double yolk egg this morning, ANYTHING. I just want to hear about the good little things going on so I can look for some around here. Thanks so much.

Well- I will share a story of something good that happened last night- good for DH and I but NOT good the store it happened at!

I am going to keep things vague b/c as DH says-- it's a SMALL world!

We went somehwere to buy quite a LARGE entertainment system purchase- the total should have been about 700.00+. The item came in 2 pieces, each piece had a seperate price. Well- we have 2 items and the person scans the one- he was looking for the UPC on the other item and DH was moving the item all around for him to find it- and he just said- "oh- forget it, thats OK" Well, I am keeping my mouth shut...and so is DH- if he doesn't want to do his job, who are WE to insist he scans the second item b/c he is too lazy!

And off we went- saved about 500.00 bucks b/c of his mistake!

I do not want to be flamed or preached to about what is right or wrong, b/c I lack a conscience, it will do no good -- I just wanted to share my story with Ashley

No flames here - same type of thing happened to us when we went to purchase tile for our bathroom remodel - only scanned 1 box and we had 4 boxes - made for a very inexpensive tiling job...

Ashley so sorry to hear of your loss. Look at those 3 beautiful children and realize how blessed you are. Ask them for big hugs and kisses.
As for me I am blessed that we are having a BBQ with my DD and her family this evening with fireworks afterwards. That means 2 of my grandchildren will be with me. Hope this helps just a little bit.

Here's another happy story!

DD5 & DS6 got up this morning and went to play with their 4 yo cousin who just got a new kitten. My brother & my mom both got new kittens from an Animal shelter last week so they saved 2 babies and you should see the smiles on the kids faces this AM when I dropped them off to play

I had an awsome freebie day!!!! Calphlon muffin set, lotion, Teaching supplie for my daycare provider on trees with posters, and books and a dvd, also teaching supplies on saving money including comic books!!!!Iams cat food and pantene sample all in one day!!!!

My DS 10 has Asperger's Syndrome (Autism Sceptrum Disorder). He has had a *horrible* school year (terrible teacher). He started camp yesterday with his 7 yrs old sister (neurotypical - she is there as a model camper). This is a specialized camp for kids on the spectrum call Camp Goodtimes. Well when dropping them off this morning they both ran to find their groups, (the lighting bugs and the atomics) high fiving campmates and counselors. I heard my son say "this shouldn't be called camp Goodtimes, it should be called camp Greattimes!"

So I had a great morning seeing my child happy , feeling included and exicited about the rest of the day...It brought a great smile to my face

Here's another happy story!

Ashley, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Wow...that is young. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

As far as the good stuff...I had a good freebie day yesterday. I got popcorn, Kashi bar, diaper, golf balls, and $47 of stuff for $.18 at CVS!!!!

Mad, last year my husband decided we needed a small shed in the back yard. We went to a large home repair store to purchase one. One employee told us to take a card (with product number) to customer service to pay. My husband waits in line at CS while I take the kids to the bathroom. CS said to take the card to the garden center and they will load it into the truck. WE WAITED FOREVER!!! By now we had been in the store for over 2 hours and my kids were D.O.N.E.! They were crawling all over the lawn furniture and no amount of yelling at them was doing any good. LOL And I could hardly blame them, I wanted to go home. My husband finally had enough and goes back to CS to complain when the guy comes back to load the truck. I try to call my husband to let him know but his phone is in my purse. When he does get back the truck is loaded and we are good to go. We drive off and all is well. A month later when the credit card bill comes in my husband mentions that there wasn't a charge on the credit card. He then asks me what credit card I put it on. I'm like...what? I didn't put it on any credit card you paid for it. He said "no I didn't. CS told me to pay the guy that loaded the truck." We havn't been back to that store since! $550 freebie...not bad

So sorry to hear of your loss, Ashley. I'm 42 years old too and that was way too young to pass on. My prayers and thoughts with you and your family.

No freebies yesterday but I did take the time last night to paint every other nail and toenail with red and blue alternating so I could be festive today at work. My co-workers think I'm crazy but hey, if it makes me happy, it can't be that bad, right? (Song lyrics pop into my head at weird moments). Also, I have a 3 1/2 month old puppy, named Mickey, and he's still learning all that is good in the world. Last night his new discovery was a little bit of vanilla ice cream - I think he has a new taste treat! His favorite human food is cheese popcorn.
