Just read somewhere that free wireless is available on the lobby of the BWV. the last time I was there (this March), I was told there was a charge. I am a DVC member and wondered if this was a perk.

Are there any lobbys that offer free wireless. I bring my iTouch for internet access and it does not support an ethernet cable.

Thanks:)

When we stayed in March at BWV there was no wireless in the rooms, it was hard wired and you don't have to pay if you are staying on points. As for the lobby I didn't hear about there being free wireless.

I don't know for sure but it makes sense to me as Boardwalk is a convention hotel. Many such hotels have free wireless in the lobby.

The resorts with convention centers do have wireless in the lobby, but it's still $9.95 per 24-hour period.

I think you have to have a code that they give to some business/convention guests to access it for free.

If you want to use an Ipod touch in the rooms, you can bring a small wireless router and set up a network (probably best to have it password protected though)

In March I logged on in the lobby of BCV with no problem, no password. We had checked out of the resort and was killing time at the lobby before heading to the airport. I was not the only one sitting there on my netbook that afternoon as there was at least 4-5 others on their laptops that day. I was also able to get online while sitting on the bench at the BWV near the main pool. Never tried in the lobby. And of course, there is always free wifi at the Orlando Airport too (MCO).
