You will need pure luck to find a connection. I chuckle when I see free wifi listed on thief website.

We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter for a week in November. We had no problem getting an connection and the speed was fine. Maybe it is different by resort or location.

During our ten day stay at BC ending last week the wifi was EXCELLENT. Couldn't have been happier and were even able to stream movies on our kindles and laptop.

We were at POFQ in August/September and the WiFi was frustratingly slow then. I had to keep reconnecting every few minutes every night.

We were at PORS last Sept and the WiFi worked well, we emailed many pictures back home each day to Papa so he could keep up with us.
