Free WiFi - How Many Minutes

I've found differently on recent cruises in Feb and Apr 2018. Both adults in my cabin signed up with separate accounts and each got the first day free 50 meg.
om the Magic last May we were both able sign up for the free 50mb, 2 adults same cabin

If you sign up for the free MB and purchase a package, it will use the free MB first. So you don't have to wait if you don't want to, but I found that seeing how long the 50 MB lasts is the best way to know large of a package you should buy.

Also, my wife and I also were able to each get the free 50 MB. When you log in to request it, it asks for your cabin number and your e-mail address, so it isn't like we were lying. We told the app we were in the same cabin, but since we each used our own e-mail accounts, it gave us each the 50 MB. I have read on here that some people aren't able to get more than one offer per cabin. I sometimes wonder if that is because they only use one e-mail address, which clearly won't allow them to each get the 50 MB.

Definitely would need each person to have their own Disney account (email address) in order to get 2 per cabin, so I suspect that's why some people/cabins would have only gotten one "free 50mb". It may be an unintended loophole that could be closed at any time, but for now you can get free 50mb per Disney account, at least for adults. In some cases, adults would definitely want separate accounts like when I travel with a friend or my Mom - because we'd want to purchase and use it separately, so it makes sense that we're each able to get the initial free 50mb. If I'm with my spouse, then a shared account might make more sense - especially if we're purchasing a package.

For us it wasn’t that we were not able to get more than one free package, we just didn’t try to get a second one because the offer in the Navigator said it was only one free MB package per stateroom. However it seems that the system is not set up to limit the offers even when you give the same room number. I guess they are happy to have more people sign up and perhaps decide to buy a package if they use up their free MB.

WARNING!!!! Make sure to sign out of your package when you are done. If you forget, it will eat up your package in no time. If you find you are unable to get in (wifi outage) to sign out, it's worth your while to let them know, so you don't lose your mbs.

Yup. We did not know this and our WiFi was gone quickly - signed up before bed and didn’t really do much, then in the morning it was all gone.

But we explained to the Connect at Sea rep and they gave it back. And we learned an important lesson!!

Hiw do you turn apps off when in wifi mode! I have an iphone and only see the option for mobile data
