Free wi fi hotspots

I understand the charge for in room high speed internet , but i was wondering if there are any free wireless spots in any of the hotels or even at DTD

The only place you will find FREE WiFi is at the Wide World of Sports Complex. Everywhere else on Disney property you will have to pay.

For the pay Wi-Fi, when you first connect, a secure page will come up where you put in your credit card info. Can't do anything until you pay the fee: $4.99 for the first 60 minutes or $9.95 for 24 contiguous hours.

I found free WiFi in the lobby at the Wilderness Campgrounds. Twice.

I have one of those keychain wifi finder things. Maybe I will do some searching in September. I think wifi will eventually become a standard thing, it would be good for DW also as they could send us messages and such. JMO

Has anyone tried that McDonalds by the resorts for free wifi? Here in Kansas City almost all the mcd's are offering wifi service.

For the price of a room. High Speed should be free, especially on the deluxe hotels. You pay $300-$500 a night for a room and they charge you an extra $10 for the internet. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't agree that wireless should be free. The way it is the people that need it pay for it. Those that don't need it aren't charged.

I agree too! Wifi should be free in the lobby area at a minimum.

another one who agrees.. if the Holiday Inn, or the like, can offer free WiFi then Disney should as well.

I agree with the poster who mentioned at the minimum should be free in the lobby. To add to that, what about all the conventions WDW hosts?! It should be free in every room at a convention resort as well.

But at Marriotts and Hiltons internet is not free. Most business people are used to paying for the internet.
