Why not get the gift card? That will allow some spending money for him

Would have to buy a ticket to get the card, a ticket isn't needed for a child turning 3 thru a holiday.
No the deal is several options including a one day ticket, gift card to the value of a one day ticket or fastpasses for the day. As long as having a birthday not sure you need anything else other than proof ie a passport.

I think you mis-understand the offer(or I do) The offer is free entry to the park for your Birthday UNLESS you have a multiday ticket or AP, the you can take an alternative but you must produce Multiday ticket or AP with the Photo ID.
As OP DS will not require a ticket he will not be able to get any of the benefits.

Long day at work and not thinking properly! Have added further since, wonder if anyone can shed any light on it.

I've had the official reply on this and Wayne is right, you need to have a ticket to get any of the other offers and as a 2 y/o turning 3 doesn't have a ticket they can't benefit from the funcard etc. But they do still get everything free so that's great![]()
Yes you could do that, just not get the other fastpass/gift card option. But as the child is free for the whole trip why would you get the ticket to allow free entry when they get it anyway? And if you pay to add on you'd then have to use the ticket from the Birthday onwards so it would cost you money you wouldn't normally have to spend! Does that make sense?I am just wondering why it says open for ages 3 and up? Surely you could get the one day for a 3 year old and add it to a multi day ticket for use in the future if the none expiry option is added? Just seems strange if a 3 year old is not eligible then surely it should say ages 4 and up, as you only get a birthday once a year?
