I've seen conflicting news so I wanted to get some clarification.

I'll be going to WDW in 13 days. I saw someone post in a FB group that they got WDW 50th Anniversary luggage tags. They showed the backside of the tags so as not to show their personal info, but they had the 50th Anniversary logo on them. But, I read on the DISNEY RESORTS blog that they don't send out luggage tags anymore. So, I'm not sure if the luggage tags I saw are legit or just made by another person, like on ETSY. So,...

Do we get luggage tags or not?

If you are staying on site and booked a package, if you don't receive luggage tags in the mail before your trip - just stop at the front desk of your resort. They will give them to you, after they verify.

When is your trip? We will be there in 11 days booked a package and have gotten nothing.

We were there from September 29th to November 1st. Are you taking Magical Express? We did, maybe that's a factor. Just a guess.

No we are renting a car. After I added Genie+ we got a letter a few weeks ago showing the park hopper tickets with that along with our resort and days there and said we would receive luggage tags and coupons. It could be a delay with the mail or someone else got them in error or was supposed to be in that envelope and left out.

I got mine in the mail about three weeks before my trip. We are also booked to take Magical Express.

At the end of 2020, Disney announced that they would no longer be mailing the Magical Extras packet with the luggage tags & Magical Extras card/coupons. Keep in mind that these items are strictly for parties who purchased a package through Disney. Whether or not you're using Magical Express has no bearing on if you receive these items or not. When we went in April, all we had to do was ask at check-in and they got it for us. They also told us that if it was not picked up at check-in (mainly for those utilizing mobile check-in), that it would be taped to the door your first night at the resort. In the last few months, their actions have been more and more inconsistent. They have been mailing some, but not others. I'm not sure what the method to the madness is, but ultimately, if you haven't received it in the mail before you leave, simply ask at the front desk and they can get it for you.

We arrive next week. We received 50th anniversary luggage tags last week after updating the chat feature CM with our flight information just two weeks ago. Talk about fast! I've had this trip planned for over a year, through Disney. I wasn't expecting any luggage tags, but I sure am excited to have them now!

If it has to do with Magical Express, I wonder what’s going to happen starting January. I was kind of hoping for those tags for our April trip. Lol

My friends and I didn't take the magical express at all and we still got the luggage tags. They were in an envelope taped to our door.

No, these are unrelated to the tags sent for DME. WDW has provided a "free" American Tourister souvenir luggage tags with packages for... decades? They used to show up with all the package paperwork and coupons in the mail, then they showed up with the MB shipment, now they might mail or might wait for you at your resort.

I have a package booked for the end of the month and my 50th luggage tags and Magical extras card arrived in the mail today.

I have a package that starts early next week. Didn't receive anything other than magic bands (paid extra for).

We haven't got luggage tags or the coupons for like the mini golf and stuff they send. I had honestly forgot about it till I saw this tread. We check in on the 27th.
