Free Upgrades?

Has anyone ever gotten a free upgrade at the Paridise Pier? We were thinking of asking, so what do you think our chances are? We will be there 2/7-2/11.

We got one in January of 2005. Had AP rate of $89 a night for standard view, got 9th floor theme park view for no extra charge!!! Good luck!

We stayed at the DLH in Jan of 06, reserved a standard room, asked for a large room with two queens and a day bed (just me and kid but we actually spend time in our room) we were upgraded to a pool view can't remember the floor but it was great. Didn't even have to ask.....

We stayed last year in February for our anniversary at PPH and had paid for a standard room and was upgraded to a theme park view room and had nightly turndown service each night. We just told them it was our anniversary when we checked in, so I'm not sure if that was part of the reason for the upgrade or not.

Personally I wouldn't ask.. I would imagine you may get an upgrade by asking, but at whatever the difference in cost you may end up paying that.. It's better to not ask and just hope for some pixie dust..
