I will be buying the 5 park flexi ticket which includes Busch gardens which apparently, I have read, you can use the transportation bus for free. We are having a car when we go in August but we drove to Busch the first time we went and found it a slog coming home, so thought this time we would go by bus.
We are staying at the Quality Inn International on IDrive, wondered if any body had used this bus service and how easy/convenient to use and where is the best place to be picked up from.

:)

Julia,

We stayed at QII and had a car and the 5 park ticket - but we decided to drive, just so we could be totally independant!
The free bus picks up at Universal Studios and I believe at the Pointe Orlando on I-Drive. These will be the two stops closest to you.

Hmm - I thought the bus went from Seaworld, but we haven't used it so I could be wrong.

We stayed in Kissimmee in 2000 and used the free bus service - never again. Yes it was a comfortable ride but it was late leaving to get us there and then pick up time was before the park closed.

We didn't get there until gone 11am and had to leave a 6pm - we didn't get to see anything like the whole park in that time.

Going again this year, have the 5 park flex ticket but won't be using the free bus trip!

We have used the bus a few times (saves driving), there are I think 3 pick up times to choose from (Seaworld have the information in printed form if you go to their Guest Services desk and ask or if you are travelling with a holiday company they also give out this leaflet), there are different pick up locations too (it does stop at Seaworld) as you are staying at the QI, in my opinion, leave the car at the hotel, we usually have breakfast at the Ponderosa, and walk accross the road to Pointe Orlando (along from the Guiness world Records) - however, don't forget to pre book the bus when you arrive (via a phone call) though - as when it gets to Seaworld it is quite packed and last year people who were waiting at Seaworld were not able to get on the bus because it was already full. The return journey is also "staggered" with if I remember rightly 3 times to choose from. Good tip though - don't sit right at the front of the bus if you have a weak heart as our last coach driver was virtually in the boot of the car in front of us all of the time and it was pretty eventfull! We are off in a few weeks so I will know then the times of the Busch Garden Express Coach.

PS another tip, the dollar exchange rate is good at the moment and we have pre-booked our 7 day hopper Disney tickets including a character breakast with Paramount travel - but because it costs $30 dollars to send to the UK - I have arranged to pick up my tickets from the office when we arrive (office opens at 8am) and we can go to Disney after this - saves the security risk of sending your credit card details etc etc...... & saves $30 too.
