Has anyone else fallen for this?? :)

Ds11 and I were on our way to food shopping this morning when we stopped at a yard sale. Right there on a table was one of those brightly colored pet cages with a sign that read: "Free to a good home - Chip the hamster." I went back and forth on it but ended up taking him. We also bought a bigger cage from the same people for $5. They wanted to get rid of everything so they also gave us food, bedding and some add-ons for the cages. All in all we got over $100 in supplies. (I went to PetSmart afterwards for a book on hamsters and added up the cost of some of the things they gave us)

So now Chip is in the room with the birds, away from the cats and our pet population has grown to 16.... :faint: He is a cutie tho, brown dwarf hamster about 2 years old.

How could I *not* buy a little guy named Chip? (and no, we WON'T be adding Dale to our collection... ;) )

My first thought was that it's good it's "Chip" and not "Mrs. Potts"!
