a coworker asked me if disney has any specials, i told her depending on when you go they usually have something going on. then she asked about Free Tickets, i said idk about those. she said a friend of hers told her that if you do the DVC Tour that you get free park tickets, again my answer was idk, i never did the tour.

So does DVC tours get you a free park ticket ?

thanks

I have taken several tours..never anything like that. They have been doing free sundaes after the tour. And a reusable bag.
I do not think they would ever do free park tickets!! maybe fast passes as stated above.

Some of those hard-sell time share presentations which take several hours sometimes give free tickets, but not sure for Disney or other parks.

Sure, some are hard sell, but many are not. I'd say our tours we've done over the years have averaged around 90 minutes and if they went over, it was usually because I was asking questions. I've had as short as 20 minutes and as long as 4 hours but the 4 hours included a full buffet breakfast, as did some of the shorter ones. While I think it's fair to say that most all are more pressure than DVC, many are not high pressure. I'd venture that only about 10-15% of our tours have been high pressure, another 30-40% medium pressure and the rest varying degrees of low pressure. There likely is some relationship between the pressure and size of the bribe but not that much.

It's true that most all other companies entice you for a tour by offering money, discounts and freebies, even to current owners. I think the most we've gotten totaled around $250, $150 is likely the largest cash option we've gotten but I know of others who have gotten as much as $400.

I don't do the tours to get the bribes though I generally couldn't get my wife to go without them. Personally I'm just as happy to sit down and talk timeshares with them and I love seeing new properties and learning about systems I don't know well. I'd say 25% of my "tours" the last 5 years or so have been non compensated without the wife.

When we did the DVC tour at WDW, we got the ice cream at the end and 3 unrestricted fast passes per person.

My family got the use anywhere type fast passes when we did our tour which made alot of sense really since they took up a couple hours of our day it enabled us to still be able to regain those hours with the fast passes. :) I thought it was a great deal and we really enjoyed the presentation. Still on the fence about buying though. They are very kind and friendly I think though. Not pushy at all.

Bottom line - Disney does not give free park admission passes for taking the DVC tour, only some nominal items - Fast Passes, ice cream, sometimes gift cards.

1st tour we got 15.00 g/c per person (even kids) along with ice cream, 2nd tour 4 years later was 3 fast passes per person and ice cream.

i agree with this statement..........FP, sundaes.........never park tickets!

thanks everybody for the answers, i didn't think they gave free park tickets but you never know what disney might come up with.

We scored $150 in gift cards out in CA in May 2008 for talking to a rep. We wanted to talk to him to clarify some things, the gift cards just made it easier to take an hour or so out of the trip.

Oh, he had cookies and juice available during the meeting too.

I have to say thou, even thou I got an ice cream this time around. Back in 1998, I toured the BWV, and we were given a free lunch at the Beer brewery restaurant on the board walk. that was nice.

when BLT was first coming out we did a DVC tour and were give $50 gift cards (me and hubby)....immediately spent them at Downtown Disney!:rotfl::rotfl:

LOL, you played right into their hands! I"m sure Disney expects that gift cards will be used along with added cash at their establisments!;)
