OK, I'm a Disney veteran, but I have a friend in graduate school who is going to Orlando for three days and only has a one-day pass and no money. Oh the days of being a poor college student. She called me last night looking for ideas on what to do for cheap or free outside of her one day in MK. I came up with the following, does anyone have any other ideas? She's leaving this weekend.

Resort hop
Ride the monorail through EPCOT
DTD
Boardwalk with a late night stop at Atlantic Dance Hall
Take the boat from Boardwalk to the loading area of EPCOT and try to sneak a peak of Illuminations

Take the bus over to Fort Wilderness for a picnic and a stroll around the trails.

Spend an afternoon enjoying your resort pool.

Sleep! (something no college kid gets enough of anyway!)

Enjoy the evening campfire program at Fort Wilderness (yep, it's free!)

Hang out in one of the lounges in a resort and meet some new friends!

If she has a car there are some fantastic off-site opportunities that would easily fill whatever time she has free.

MouseSavers.com has a list of cheap/free things to do at WDW.

Try that sneak peek of illuminations from the front of the monorail. We were riding in the front with the driver when illuminations was going, had a much better view.

Catch the candy lady in Japan make candy animals, watch the electric water parade from one of the beaches. Go to Fort Wilderness and do the sing along and watch the movie.
