Free Pin with Purchase of Interactive Pin?

We think we understand what's going on but perhaps
we could use some help. For those who have collected
their "virtual pins" on the official Disney website, one
is rewarded with the ability to print a colorful certificate
to use when purchasing any of the interactive 100 year
celebration pins ($15 or so). We think that we understand
that Disney gives you a free pin for each of the
interactive pins purchased. Do you have any choice
what the free pin will be, or does Disney decide this?
Is that how it worked for you, and what pin did you get?
Would love to hear about your experience. (I'm dying
to know what the free pin is.)

the free pin is somewhat similar to the one of Mickey at the computer except it is maybe 15-20% larger. and the screen says 100 years of dreams or something like that.

I picked up 2 of the free pins today and yes you have to purchase the Collectable pins in order to get them. you also can only get up to four with the certificate. The pin is Mickey sitting at the computer. No you don't get a choice. I tried that. The cashier had a drawer full of them. I am going to get 2 more this Sunday.

O.K. Back in July or August, Disney introduced the "100 Years of Magic" website. Orginally, it was a secret thing, but they made it public. Anyway, they revealed a section devoted to the celebration every few weeks or so. If you clicked around the site, you would find a "virtual pin" - a little cyber version of the Magical Moments pins they are currently selling at MGM. As each section opened on the site, you could collect a new pin. Once you collected all five pins, you can print out a special certifiacte that you would bring to the MGM Sorcerer hat shop. When you purchase one of the MM pins, you can a special pin for free!

There is a picture of it on Dizpins.com now. It looks kind of right.

To get the virtual pins, go to disneyworld.com, then click on take a peek on the right, then click on "my pin box". It was a lot of fun collecting them!

Also, I love the "Haunted Hollywood" pin. Says that it will be sold October 13 at Treasures in Paradise. Where is that?

Just an update, for those that will be visiting MGM to get their free pin. They are currently out of them right now as of yesterday (10/8). I've asked the CM's and they do not know when they will be coming in again. However, they will put info on your receit about it. You would have to present it when they come back in stock.

Bummer.
