Free Photo Pass?

1) I just got my AAA WDW docs and according to my TA, we get one free photopass--does that mean one free photo? Or is it the actual 100.00 photo pass people have been discussing on the boards...

2) RE: the photopass: How do we use it? Does it eat up much of your park time posing or trying to find a photographer for a shot you want? Do the photographers ever show up at the restaurants? Please explain how this thing works...

1) It's 1 free photo. You'll get a code upon check-in to use online when you're home.

2) The first time you get your photo taken, the photo pass photographer will give you a card. Give this card to each photographer you run across... if you lose the card, you can get a new one and you can link the cards together later. It really doesn't take that much time. They'll take a couple of pictures each time. I suppose it depends on how busy the park is, but when we were there (11/11-11/18) we only saw one line for a photo pass pic. They are at the more popular locations in each park (i.e. main street in MK, in front of spaceship earth in Epcot, etc.), but most of the time we saw them with the characters... we never saw them in the restaurants.

We took a digital photo of our card with our camera. That way we had the number in case we lost the card.

We just got our luggage tags, planet Hollywood vouchers, etc. and I don't see anything about getting a free photo on the paper work?

I believe the free photopass picture is part of the Magic Your Way package "courtesy" of Disney... not specific to AAA. You should get your info upon check-in at the resort.
