Free PH/WP + AAA Discount?

I just checked with AAA & can save about $100 off a trip in May for 5 nights at Pop. I'm hoping that the Free PH/WP will be coming out again this year for May. Has anyone received both the AAA discount & Free PH/WP in the past?

Also, if I book the package through AAA, the agent said I would put down a $200 deposit, but she wasn't sure if I would pay the entire amount before the trip or when I get to the hotel. I've used AAA for a discount on a room-only & know that I just paid once I arrived, but I'm not sure about packages.

No, it is one discount or the other. They can't be combined. With a regular Disney package, you pay the balance 45 days before you leave. I don't know about AAA.......

so far we have only ever seen the free upgrade to PH/WP+ in january (a "slower" time of year for wdw)... it's unlikely to see it in may (busier time of year)... also, if you book a package, you will have to have the entire thing paid in full 45 days prior to travel... room only requires only one night's deposit w/the balance payable upon arrival...

In late February/early March of 2006 & 2007, Disney offered the free parkhopper & waterparks for visits in late April & May. We actually went in May 2006 & had the free parkhopper & waterparks. So, I'm hoping public codes will be released once again soon.

The AAA agent I spoke to asked the Disney reservations agent about the codes, & the agent said that if the codes did come out, I could add them to my reservation & I would be able to get the free PH/WP.

I know that there is some miscommunication sometimes with the codes, so I thought I would ask if anyone in the past has been able to do this. If I can't get both, I would rather have the PH/WP upgrade, but, of course, I'm hoping for both.

First, you need to pay a AAA pkg in full by 45 days prior to your arrival dates.Room only is a deposit of one night balance paid at check-in.Second, I asked my AAA TA this and was told..You only get the AAA discount or the ph/wp .you can not have both.same thing with a AAA discount or free dining..can only have on or the other.It really does stink...Can you imagine the savings with a AAA discount and free dining?

You get only ONE discount. If you get the AAA discount, you cannot combine it with the free PH/WP, nor can you combine the AAA discount with free dining. Some AAA agents are unclear about this, but Disney does not allow anyone to combine or stack discounts. Certainly, an AAA agent can book a trip with one of the public discounts, but there will not be an additional AAA discount on top of the public discount.

As others have said, payment for the package is due 45 days before the trip.
