Free parking if renewing AP that day?

Hi, my annual pass expires today (7/8), and I will be in the parks starting this Monday, July 13. I will be renewing my pass as soon as I arrive to the park, but since my pass is technically expired I did not know how that would affect the parking my first day on the way in? Will I need to pay and seek reimbursement, or will they let me through if I explain my intentions? I know DTD can be renewed without park entry, but I really wanted to just get it at the parks when I go there first. Thanks for any insight with this

Tell the parking CM what you are doing.
You MIGHT be let in free.
If not, just save your parking receipt and show it when you renew the AP, and your parking fee will be refunded.
