Does anyone know if WDW resort guests with reservations can get free theme park parking before they check in?

If we pay for parking, can we get the money refunded when we check in?

On our last trip, we wasted almost an hour of touring “prime time” waiting in line at the hotel lobby to get our room cards. And then after the parks closed, the lobbies were graveyards!!!

Thanks!

Joey

We showed up to pre check in at the CBR lobby very early in the morning (7:30AM). Room wasn't ready (but we already knew that). The CM in the lobby told us we can check our bags with bell services and leave the car in the parking of the CBR while we went to the parks for the day.:thumbsup2

To clarify, my specific question is about parking at the theme parks, where they charge to get in. pirate:

We know we can park at our resort and take the disney transportation, but thats not what we are needing! :thumbsup2

I am pretty sure you are going to have to get your parking pass first. They will not be able to check for your reservations at the parks. We always get to the resort early around 6 am and the lines are short. Unless ME gets there right before us. I hope I am wrong maybe someone will know for sure.:wizard:

you may have to pay, but the resort will reimburse you with the receipt.

When I stop at the guard shack at the resort entrance, they give me a parking pass there. So you should be able to just drive through the guard shack, get your parking pass, circle around and exit the resort. You wouldn't have to get out and go in. The guard shack is open 24 hours, so you should be able to get it as early as you want to.

Without going to your resort first, there's no way to get the complimentary parking for resort guests.

It depends on the resort. At Boardwalk I have checked in as early as 6 or 7 in the morning and lines are pretty short. Checked my luggage in, got my parking passes at check in and then after off loading luggage with Bell hop, went to the parks just fine. Then when we get back our luggage is in the room for us and we are good. The main thing is to get that pass first, so you must go check in and it does not matter how early you do that.

We have always had to have the resort pass printed by the resort to get the free parking.

Why not just allow a little extra time and check in first? That way you would have your parking pass.

A lot also depends on where you are staying and what park you want to visit when you arrive.

If you are staying at any of the deluxe resorts (except for AKL) you can park at the resort and either walk to the closest park or hop the monorail.

The Values and Moderates are not so easy. I would personally check in at the resort first so that I could at least drop off my luggage with bell services.

Why not just drive to your resort. Park there and leave the bags in the car. Then get on the next bus and go to the park. Check in when you return. Problem solved. But if they reinmburse you I would say go on to the park first.
