Yes, they don't ask to see admission at the parking gate.Does the free park parking apply if you are staying on property but not going to the theme parks? We have a few resorts only days with friends, but I’m curious if we could zip over to the theme parks for a view.
Only cash at a non DVC resort. Owners who stay at any DVC resort, no matter how it is booked, receive free overnight parking.Free resort parking if you are using DVC points, rented or owned. And free theme park parking. If you have a resort reservation booked as a cash reservation, then a nightly parking fee at the resort would apply.

Can you park at other hotels and resorts for free? I know they were really tight during COVID. As in, you had to have a reservation. Can I park free at another resort if we just want to drive over there and check it out?
Ok…thanks again. It’s my first time having a car at Disney, so I don’t really know what I can and can’t do. I’d like to take my friend to different resorts but it may be a hassle if we are turned away. There is no charge for day parking. But, some resorts are strict in letting people in without reservations for dining.
Many of the near park resorts tend to be this way. So, you may or may not be allowed to get in. I know they are really strict at RIV.

Thanks. Yeah, I probably will do something along those lines. It doesn’t have to be super fast. Just more convenient and timely than busses. If you use Disney transportation you can visit But, there are ways. Park at TTC and then use the monorail to visit the MK area. Park at HS and use the Skyliner to get to RIV and the boardwalk area.
Not as fast but a way to accomplish if you get turned away.
Yes, if you are talking about over night parking at a DVC resort. They would also get free parking at the theme parks, but that is a perk given to anyone staying at any on site resort, and has nothing to do with being a DVC member.Apologies for the semi-hijack of the thread. I booked a short stay for family with our DVC account but we will not be joining them. Do they, as non-members, benefit from the free overnight parking when staying on our points? Thanks.
unless you have a diner reservation, you're not getting past the gate. WE used to love resort hopping, esp. at holidays, but can't do it since covid. Might be because for the near future DVC's are packed.Ok…thanks again. It’s my first time having a car at Disney, so I don’t really know what I can and can’t do.
