Over a Thousand museums... free admission on 9/25... (for 2 people...) but you can have more than one address and email (work address, etc. they don't send mail...)

I was able to go to the Adirondack Museum last year and I'm going back this year!!!

Good tip -- thanks! We just happened to go to a national park on their free day this spring; it was a cool surprise!

Just an FYI: It is one free ticket PER HOUSEHOLD.

We are a family of 5....I am not paying for 4 tickets.

Most museums have a free day or free part of a day during the month. The free day per month is free for everyone in your party and will be much less crowded than this highly advertised day.

Our local museums do have free days but they do not advertise, you have to google search for free days and local museums.

The one ticket we received says "FREE ADMISSION FOR TWO PEOPLE".

It is for the Intrepid Sea Air & Space museum in NYC. They do not have any free days (though it has free admission for veterans). The cheapest ticket is $22.

If you don't want to buy additional tickets, I think this would be a nice way for one parent to do something with one child, say if there is something that particular child is interested in.

I am all for any program that encourages people to go to museums!
