I've seen a few posts here about how to aquire some free money to spend at Disney. So here's my hint. I am a car enthusiast. If you go to all of the auto manufacturer websites, you can request info and brochures. Request the newest, introductory models. Also, there are tear out postage paid cards in car magazines (take 'em right out of the magazines at the 7-11, White Hen, etc) for info on the newest models. The car companies feel that if you take the time to request info, you are there best possible future customer. Then they will send you "test drive" offers. I have received offers to test drive Jeeps, Mustangs, PT Cruisers, Lincolns, BMW's, you name it. When you go to the dealer with your letter, the dealer validates it. I have NEVER had to actually drive the car. I just say, "I'm not really interested in the car and I hate to waste your time putting plates on it and driving it since I'm just here to get the money." They say okay and all you have to do is mail in your validated letter.
I have received checks for $50 cash!
I have received Sharper Image $50 gift certificates which were redeemable for cash!
I have received a PT Cruiser credit card sized knife with the PT logo which I then sold on Ebay for $55!
I have received and Olds Aurora X-Files leather/twill jacket which I then sold for $125!
I have received numerous $25 checks!
I have received around $750 total in the last few years.
Free money, it's great.
Try to target the new models though, that's where the auto companies spend their advertising dollars (example, don't request the Mazda Miata, request the brand new Mazda 6 sedan).
I hope this helps!

OK... I guess it beats my trips to consignment stores looking for items with lifetime warranty to return to the original manufacturers...
:o

Disnee Dad Says............................This sounds like a great idea!
WE started doing timeshares last year. Never ever wanted to do one. But we got $100 for a 90 minute presentation at the Westin on Maui, so we had to do it. I accepted no food or drinks that they were offering, though my family did. My message was I don't want anything from you. Showed us all this great stuff, but the best he got was one tiny "wow" when I saw the glass bottom cottages out on the Pacific Ocean. He said "hey, we got a wow, maybe you want to go there!" I said no, just impressed with the architecture! We sat down for pricing part and he knew he was beat. Asked to leave for a minute, came back and said we were free to go! Gone in 60 minutes.
Did one in Orlando last November. Got a 3 bedroom condo for $49 a night, was supossed to be 2 bedrooms, but I guess they ran out or something. The check in was horrible, and we had a couple other minor problems but it worked out great! When it was time for the presentation, the guy says how ya doing. That gave me the opportunity, to say bad, beacuse of A,B,C and I turn on my watch and say our 90 minutes starts now! We tour a little and he wants to fix everything, so he gets his boss, by the time we are done telling him what is wrong with place, we have 25 minutes left. Still the guy makes one last sales pitch. I say we have 23 minutes left and we are out of here. He says, then I'll leave you alone for the rest or your time!" Wife is pissed, I say why, I'm happy to sit for 23 minutes! He comes back 2 minutes later and has cleared us to go.
I guess the point is, if I can do timeshare, then the auto thing will be easy!!!!!!!

I don't think store vendors would be appreciative of people rummaging through magazines ripping out ad cards. If I did that at my local magazine store I'd probably be accused of theft.

Maybe not at the store but you can go to your local public library where you could ask a librarian for permission to rip it out or copy for you.
I doubt they'll mind it...

Check the rewards board for more information about test drives. There are many of us that have been doing this for a while to earn money for Disney!:):):)
