Normally when we book a package, we get mini-golf passes in the mail before our arrival. We arrive pretty soon and have not gotten them yet. Are they still mailed? If we don't receive them, will we be able to get some at check-in?

Thanks!

VP

They are still mailed. We got ours for our upcoming trip. It's in a coupon booklet/brochure thingy.

We are leaving in about week. I don't remember exactly when I got it so it must've been slightly before or at the same time as our magic bands...Magic Band excitement trumps all. We got our magic bands the week after Thanksgiving.

Hmm, we should have gotten ours by now, I think. We leave in 2 weeks. Our bands came a while back. I guess I'll call Disney!

ours were actually placed in our room on the morning after our first night. May be because we booked only about 12 days before arrival.

We just got ours in the box with the magic bands. One side had the luggage tags and the other had the mini golf and ESPN coupons. We always say we're going to try the mini golf but just never get a round to it.
I need to add it wasn't in a booklet like we got before in the mail.

Oh, I need to go check our band box then! We had never tried it until a couple of years ago and we were regretting all the times we've just tossed the passes out. We have done both Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens and they are a great break from the parks!

I was wondering the same thing. We never got ours but then we wouldn’t of ended up using them this last trip.

this is what they look like. It came on the luggage tag side, sorry I said the other side. It also had a plastic card that says Magical Extras on it.

We usually receive ours in the mail. However, in October for some reason we didn't receive any. I didn't even realize it (we usually don't have time for mini golf especially for really short trips) until we went to the desk to check-in (never got a room ready text, but it was all good because we got an upgrade!). They gave us the envelope with the mini golf passes as the check-in desk. We had to sign for them. I had no idea what I was signing for, lol. Later I opened the envelope and found the mini golf vouchers. If you don't get yours in the mail and aren't offered them at check-in, I would inquire about it for sure. Let them know you never received the vouchers.

Thanks, everyone. I will ask at check-in! I checked our Magic Band box and they were def. not in there. We got the small brochure last year.

I have the same situation. I called Disney and they told me the info is on MB now...they do not get mailed. Since we all know how accurate Disney CS can be, I figure I will just ask when we check in.

My family has never done the miniature golf at WDW. I would like to give it a try on our trip this summer. We have two daughters, ages 8 and 10, plus nieces and nephews (youngest will be 5). My family is staying at BC and everyone else is staying at POP. Any recommendations on which miniature golf course the kids may like better, or are they both about the same? Also, what would be a good time of day to try to miniature golf?

Winter Summerland is more accessible for kids and also adults who just dabble every few years in mini golf. I love it and always use one of the pkg coupon's each trip on my day off. The "summer" side seems to be less busy than the "winter" side. I also try to go earlier in the morning when it first opens to avoid being stuck behind large groups. Winter Summerland is at the Blizzard Beach bus stop in the parking lot outside the entrance gates. Easy walk from the bus stop. Enjoy!

Thanks for the advice! We have an off day scheduled and we are visiting both water parks too. Good to know about the summer side of Winter Summerland.

Winter Summerland is easier but my youngest really loved Fantasia Gardens at that age. Maybe it depends on if they know the movie? The water effects and details on the course are really neat, and the location makes it really easy to get to from the Epcot area resorts.

As far as time of day, earlier is better to avoid crowds and it is cooler. Midday/afternoon can be really miserable if it is hot, because there's not much shade on either course, and even in December we managed to get sunburned during our round. Evenings can be nice too, temperature-wise, but more crowded and with a chance of tipsy-adult parties.
